Terrapin Station Winery

Terrapin Station Winery is a small winery located in Elkton, Maryland. We operate based on the viewpoint that wine should be fun, not some sort of mysterious, overbearing, intimidating product. Wine is part of life in terms of celebration of the products of our unique location and the joy of sharing our wines with friends.

Using the unconventional philosophy, we package our wines in 1.5 L boxes. Recyclable, lighter (and thus burning less fuel to transport), and easy to store, the box can be taken anywhere without worrying about broken glass. And once opened, the wine stays fresh for weeks, so you can have a glass without ruining the whole box.

Located at the top of the Chesapeake Bay, we are committed to being environmentally responsible, preserving open space and our specific commitment to the Diamondback Terrapin. The Terrapin is the state reptile, the mascot of the University of Maryland, and a native of the Bay. But the Terrapin needs help due to overdevelopment and loss of habitat. We support the Terrapin Institute by contributing $1 of every box sold to help their education and preservation programs.
